    Computers Advocacy
    OAACE is a respected advocate for your interests in Ohio and throughout the nation. OAACE develops and promotes public policies which support the diversity and value of adult and continuing education. OAACE, in partnership with the Ohio Literacy Network, regularly communicates with key elected officials and decision makers through policy statements, testimony, and participation in special commissions.

    Awards
    OAACE's Awards Program recognizes individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding contributions to adult and continuing education. At the annual conference, OAACE recognizes state award winners in the following categories: Instructor/Trainer, Support Staff, Administrator/Training Manager/Supervisor, and Contributor. From our regional winners, the association selects a state winner in each category.

    Conferences and Workshops
    Membership in OAACE enables you to attend our annual conference at a discounted rate. Also, OAACE sponsors regional events and activities that members are invited to attend.

    Leadership
    Members are eligible to run for a seat on the association's Board of Directors and serve on various association committees.

    Membership Directory
    Members receive a complimentary copy of our Membership Directory each year. The Membership Directory is a valuable reference guide for networking and contacting other OAACE members around the state.

    Public Awareness Grants
    Promoting adult education activities and programs on the local and regional level is supported by the association through our Public Awareness Grant program. Individuals and institutional members can receive up to $250 to develop promotional materials.

    Publications
    In addition to News and Views, our newsletter, OAACE publishes additional publications throughout the year on special topics relevant to the field of adult and continuing education.

    Research
    OAACE supports continuing research in the field of adult education. Members are encouraged to submit research proposals to the board to be considered for fiscal support.

    Scholarships
    OAACE annually awards an OAACE Member Scholarship, Lifelong Learning Scholarship, and GED Scholarship at the annual state conference to encourage continuing education. The Max Way Southeast Regional Scholarship is also awarded at the conference.

    Voting Privileges
    OAACE members are eligible to vote in the annual Board of Directors election and have voting privileges when changes in the Constitution are proposed.
